The Lost Pillars of Conditional Salvation
INTRODUCTION
The Bible is God’s Word to man in order to communicate our spiritual condition so that we may have eternal life. It is a traveller’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. The entire Bible screams this one central theme and central word, which is SALVATION. The 9 chapters of this book consist of a simple division of the entire Word. You can’t find one section, no, not one book that doesn’t lead man to God. The Bible is profitable for doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16), the Spirit and Life (John 6:63), God inspired men to put it on paper (2 Peter 1:21), it will accomplish the purpose for which God sends it (Isaiah 55:11), it is alive, powerful and perceptive (Hebrews 4:12), the hearing of it invokes faith (Romans 10:17) and it is the source of the new birth (1 Peter 1:23).
Jesus is The Word (Jn.1:1-2), The Word of God (Rev.19:13), The Horn of Salvation (Lk.1:69), Salvation (Lk.2:30), The Captain of Salvation (Heb.2:10) and Eternal Life (1 Jn.5:20). The Holy Spirit is only given in order to point to Jesus and to teach about righteousness, sin and judgment (Jn.14-16). Jesus is the Rock we are to build upon (Mat.7:24-29), The Rock of Salvation (Dt.32:15), The Stone of Stumbling and The Rock of Offense (Isa.8:14), our Spiritual Rock (1 Cor.10:4), and The Chief Corner Stone (Eph.2:20). What I’m saying is that Jesus is the one true pillar; the Word of God is the one true pillar, as a whole. There are a few verses that stand as pillars for man to build doctrines of salvation on. None of the verses focused on in this book are used as pillars for the holders of eternal security (Once Saved Always Saved) or conditional salvation, but they are all used as God’s pillar in His Word, His message of salvation.
This book ultimately serves in disproving the cleverly deceitful doctrine that’s been in play since the serpent beguiled Eve with the notion that no harm would befall her by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. By believing this lie and disobeying God, she condemned her own soul at that moment (2 Cor.11:3; Rom.5:12-21). “…Ye shall not surely die (Gen.3:4).” The Bible has recorded all of God’s dealings with man in the past, present and future. It contains His message of eternal salvation for all who believe in Christ, and eternal damnation for all who rebel against the gospel (Mat.19:17; Jn.8:31-34; 14:15-24; 15:14; 1 Jn.1:5-7; 2:1-6; 3:1-10) May this book shine light where the enemy has been. “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Rev.22:14-15).”
